My Image vs. Media Image

As we could tell in class, we all have different images of what is going on in our minds while we are reading Othello especially in Act 5, Scene 2. My image is the curtains are white, very thin, and flowing, the bed is huge and has the white sheets. I think white pops up in my mind because when you are virgin and pure you wear a white dress for your wedding day. I think of the room similar as the 1995 film, a very dark and small look. The 1965 scene did not work to my image, the room was to big and the bed was to small. In the 1995 film the light also way darker which set the mood I had in my mind, which in the 1965 film the light was normal and bright.
As my image of the characters, in the 1995 film Desdemona hit the spot in my mind. I pictured a young tiny women with long-flowing brown hair, with a white night gown, laying quietly in her bed. Though none of the movies portrayed my image of Othello. This might sound goofy but I thought of him as Russell Crowe in Gladiator. He charged in with his dreamy face but with his war gear on. I also did not picture him screaming the way the 1965 film showed him doing. I thought of it as the 1995 film where he is quietly talking and crying for his loss.
I just thought it was interesting to think how I might have one image in my mind, and you have another, or for example I related more to the 1995 film image then the 1965.
