Woolf also mentions that "Comedy will be enriched" (91). This rings absolutely true because if I can believe that something funny could really happen in real life the more likely I am to laugh. What is real and honest can sometimes make for the best comedy or tragedy. Even in my own writing I try to write as I see it even if my opinion is not the norm. This will make it more enjoyable just for me and hopefully for the reader too.

Truth
All Virginia Woolf wants is the truth. I do not think she means non-fiction, but writing that tells a story with emotion and real characterization. Her advice is to "Be truthful, one would say, and the result is bound to be amazingly interesting" (91). She qualifies this by saying that it is not to tear down down or mock others but to portray them accurately. (91) I think this is one of the best pieces of advice she gives throughout the whole book. Obviously Virginia Woolf gives us the truth as she sees it throughout the book, which makes it much more interesting. If she had gone through the book trying to make up a different opinion and pose it as her own, it would have been very obvious and annoying. That isn't to say that I must agree with her, it may be even more interesting if I do not. Writing truthfully can make you think and view something differently.
